Instead, we encourage interested authors to start a conversation with us. Please reach out using the contact form or other provided methods to introduce yourself and your work. If Shadow Light Press is interested in pursuing your series, we will then request a manuscript for consideration.
Submission of work, including via forms or discussions on the website, does not constitute a solicitation for a manuscript or guarantee any agreement.
By submitting any materials (once solicited), authors agree to the following:
- The submission is the author’s original work.
- Shadow Light Press is released from any liability in the event of similarities between the submission and other works already in development or previously published by Shadow Light Press. We take plagiarism seriously and do not plagiarize submitted works, but we cannot guarantee that similarities to other works in our pipeline or catalog will not occur.
- The author relinquishes any claims of plagiarism or improper usage should there be incidental similarities between their submission and existing or future works.
4. Publishing Agreements
Should Shadow Light Press agree to publish an author’s work, a separate contract will be signed outlining the specific terms of the publishing agreement. This will include details such as royalties, copyright ownership, publication rights, and distribution. This TOS does not serve as a publishing agreement and does not guarantee that any submission will result in a publishing deal.
