right into the trap of the wood-dwelling evil spirit, the Hag.
The world is vast and on the brink of war, and Val must learn to overcome the darkness of a cruel world when two hunters rescue her from the horrors of imprisonment. She must face the
creatures of Slavic folklore in the world and discover that her fairytale idea of love is nothing like the reality of finding her “happily ever after.” It is a journey of growth, hardship, heart, sacrifice, and realizing that life is not always as one expects.

A Bit About The Author
Polina Volkova grew up in the depths of beautiful Siberian forests, where the creepy crawlers of folklore and fairytales often felt just beyond the treeline.
This has profoundly influenced her writing with its vivid imagery that brings about a feeling of being a part of something magical, running into something terrifying, and being very lost in the woods without a cell phone. Her debut series, Into the Deep Wood, blends her lifelong ties with love, horror, and fantasy into a dark romantic fable.
In it, she explores the hardship of the human experience through the use of symbolism and fantasy creatures, a bit of undying love, and chilling moments of something
going bump in the night.
When not weaving her stories, Polina likes romance options in video games, insurmountable
amounts of black coffee, long walks on the beach, and side quests that get you some sweet
new armor.
